History[]
Pontag, a native of the planet Victo, gained superhuman powers from the Elixir of Power given to him by an evil old hermit from the "outer planets" named Nastyman, which he used to battle the Earth superhero Young Marvelman and his allies Marvelman and Kid Marvelman. He briefly allied himself with Young Gargunza, nephew of the evil Dr. Emil Gargunza, but they fell out pretty quickly. On another occasion, he allied himself with the alien Voltans to invade his own planet of Victo, but the invasion was repelled by Young Marvelman.

Flight; enhanced durability; super speed (he could travel from Earth to Victo in five minutes).

Superhuman.
Weaknesses
His powers would periodically wear off, requiring him to drink more Elixir in order to recharge them. They could also be negated by an antidote serum.

In the revived Marvelman series in Warrior magazine in 1982, writer Alan Moore gave Young Nastyman a new origin and civilian identity as the human Terrance Rebbeck, revealing Pontag's history to have been a fiction. This was not the case, however, in the original 1950s stories.
