William Puceanu and his wife were travellers, apparently of Romany descent. William appears to have had the presumably mutant or supernatural ability to create what were referred to as "crawly dolls", but it's unclear what exacty they were. Regardless, when his infant daughter Meggan began to grow fur in cold weather, William wa terrified, calling her a "changeling", and kept her hidden in his caravan for years. She grew up with only television to teach her about the world. Eventually, when the mutant Mad Jim Jaspers briefly took control of the UK, William's crawly dolls were taken away from him and he and his daughter were separated and presumably interned in different camps. His whereabouts since that time are unrevealed.
