Vicente Vano Ibarra (born in Valencia in 1947, died 2006) and his older brother Eduardo Vano Ibarra (born 1944) were the sons of Eduardo Vano Pastor. All three worked as comics artists in Spain, with both brothers also working extensively in foreign markets including (from about 1965) the UK, through the agency Bardon Art. Both brothers signed their work simply 'Vano' and, as they had very similar styles, it can be difficult to identify which brother drew what; however, both of them worked for Fleetway in the 1970s and early 1980s on various titles, with Vicente creating Wolfie Smith for Tornado (and later 2000 AD) and also working on several Action Force Mini Comics. Also sometimes credited as Vanyo.
