Umbala was an incredibly vain, pompous and arrogant Zulu prince who spent all his time trailing around after his friend Saber, King of the Jungle, and generally hindering rather than helping him. Naturally, Saber was far cleverer and much braver than Umbala, and far more capable when it came to dealing with the many dangers of life in the jungle, despite the fact that Umbala had actually been born there. Because Saber was white, and this was the 1960s. Sigh.
