History[]
The eponymous protagonist of the 2000 AD strip Ulysses Sweet is a maniac for hire, an insane intergalactic assassin based on the planetoid Solonik-5, with an unfortunate tendency to kill his employers before they can pay him. He's the best there is at what he does, and what he does is to "mess stuff up like a lethal, throbbing, psychotic deathlord."
Ulysses has a psyche-chip in his head, an Artificial Intelligence based on a dead psychiatrist which acts as his therapist. When it was replaced by an inferior model which kept wittering on about how "Team Ulysses needs to take a me break," the enraged Ulysses got rid of the replacement by shooting himself in the head and then proceeded to cause incredible amounts of mayhem in a quest to get the old one back.
