History[]
Vislor Turlough was a rather shifty individual banished to Earth as a political prisoner after a coup on his homeworld of Trion. Apparently the new regime felt that the worst punishment they could inflict on the young man was to send him to an English public school, which may, in fact, have been the case.
Turlough made a deal with the multipotent evil entity known as the Black Guardian: his freedom, in return for the life of the time traveller known as The Doctor. Luckily, in the event, he couldn't bring himself to kill the Doctor, who instead allowed his would-be murderer to join his crew (as you would).
Turlough somewhat reluctantly aided the Doctor against numerous alien threats before discovering that another coup had occurred on Trion and he was now free to go home.
