The Therons are a peace loving race who live in floating homes in the southern part of Venus. Their hereditary enemies are the Treens, and they are allies of Dan Dare and Space Fleet. Their leader is President Kalon, while Volstar (depicted in box-out) is one of Dare's oldest and best friends on Venus.
