The Vampire Plants is a story from the Doctor Who Annual 1970, apparently drawn by Mick Anglo. In it, the second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot (who is ordered to stay in the TARDIS in case things get dangerous!) visit the Doctor's old mate Dr. Vane at "the Botanical Gardens on Venus" and discover that he's accidentally imported a killer plant, so the Doctor sets fire to it with his lighter.
