History[]

The third incarnation of The Doctor lived on Earth both during and after his exile by the Time Lords. He worked for Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart as scientific adviser to UNIT (often assisted by Liz Shaw, Jo Grant or Sarah Jane Smith, with support from Captain Yates and Sergeant Benton), but also investigated alien threats on his own, while based out of a country cottage somewhere in the south of England. He probably did this because of the Brigadier's unnerving tendency to bomb aliens into oblivion as soon as the Doctor had located them.
