History
The Doctor's tenth incarnation was an insufferably smug, youthful-looking man who had to be the centre of attention at all times, and who seemed to believe that his personal life was always of more significance than the problems of the people around him. He was curiously obsessed with the equally egocentric Earth girl Rose Tyler, leading him to continually subject his later travelling companion Martha Jones to unfavourable comparisons with her. A somewhat insecure individual, this Doctor seemingly desperately needed to prove how clever and important he was to everyone he encountered (like the First Doctor). His companion Donna Noble was the only person who ever seemed able to compete with his ego, possibly because her own was so large.
On the plus side, he apologised almost constantly and was very handsome, which appealed to some rather shallow people.

Notes
- The tenth Doctor had the distinction of appearing simultaneously in several different titles, including Doctor Who Magazine (in which he gained a new companion, Majenta Pryce), Doctor Who Adventures, Doctor Who — Battles in Time and the Doctor Who Annual. He has since reappeared in Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor from Titan Comics (reprinted in the Doctor Who Comic), in which he gained another new travelling companion, Gabriella Gonzalez.
- The Thirteenth Doctor eventually regenerated back into an older version of this incarnation, making him both the Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors. The Fourteenth Doctor was then split off from the Doctor's primary timeline, and retired to live peacefully on Earth with the Noble family.
