History[]

Colonel Steve Austin was a former USAF pilot turned astronaut who was critically injured in an accident. Rebuit with state of the art bionic technology costing six million dollars, he became an agent of the Office of Scientific Information, a branch of US Intelligence. He had an on-off relationship with fellow agent Jaime Sommers, the Bionic Woman.

Powers and abilities[]

Abilities

Telescopic vision; able to run up to 60MPH.

Strength level

Superhuman

Weaknesses

Realistically, since the rest of his upper body was not bionic, he'd have torn his bionic arm out of its socket every time he performed one of his feats of super strength. But nobody seems to have realised this.

Paraphernalia[]

Equipment

Steve's right arm, left eye and both legs are powerful bionic replacements.

Notes[]

US TV star the Six Million Dollar Man was one of the longest running strips in Look-In, lasting from 21st June 1975 to 24th March 1979, all of the serials created by Angus Allan and Martin Asbury. In May 1979, Steve returned to Look-In for a further six months in Bionic Action, a strip he shared with the Bionic Woman. He also appeared in annuals from Brown Watson.

Trivia[]

  • Steve was played on TV by Lee Majors.
  • Not to be confused with Steven Austin, a British comics artist.
