History[]

The Master is a renegade Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, whose hobbies include cackling insanely, dressing up, and trying to conquer the universe. He has also, on occasion, dabbled in politics (briefly becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) and religion (as the temporary vicar of the village of Devil's End) as well as inadvertently saving all creation from time to time, usually against his own better judgement. He is a former childhood friend of The Doctor, though their very different life choices since have left their relationship somewhat strained.

Notes[]

Trivia[]

Some of the Master's comic strip appearances have borne little resemblance to his TV incarnations, simply because publishers either hadn't managed to or didn't want to gain permission to use the likenesses of Delgado or Ainley.
