Tim Talbot's widowed father was an electrical engineer who had a laboratory at the back of his house and a lax attitude to health and safety. One day, Tim was idly messing about with his father's stuff when he picked up a tiny micro-cell battery, prompting a sudden, unexpected chemical reaction and a blinding flash which somehow rendered Tim invisible. His life got a lot more complicated after that.

The Invisible Boy was a photo-strip. It ran intermittently from New Eagle #28-63, and also appeared in the 1983 Eagle Holiday Special.
