History[]
When he first appeared, The Doctor appeared to be an elderly white-haired man who engaged in whimsical adventures with his grandchildren, John and Gillian, including battles with the Trods, the Kleptons and the Go-Rays and a rather bizarre meeting with Father Christmas. Other accounts conflict with this, stating that he had a single granddaughter — Susan Foreman, whom he later abandoned in a dystopian future — and a number of other, unrelated companions including Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright, Vicki, Steven Taylor, Ben and Polly.

Magical bag, apparently larger inside than out, from which he could produce a variety of useful objects as the occasion demanded (like Mary Poppins).

Notes[]
The first incarnation of The Doctor first appeared in comics in TV Comic #674 and had most of his published adventures either in TV Comic or in the first two editions of the Doctor Who Annual. He has also cropped up occasionally in Doctor Who Magazine and elsewhere. His comics continuity in TV Comic appears to be completely separate from accounts of his life everywhere else.
