The Exterminator was a taciturn individual who worked for Earth's government dealing with alien threats, including a voracious creature brought back to Earth by the crew of the space freighter Zargon from planet XK17 because they thought it was cute (it ate them before touchdown). The Exterminator destroyed the creature by overfeeding it with the contents of every superstore and freezer centre within twenty miles, causing it to explode, and demanded twenty million credits for his time.
