The Exterminator was an assassin employed by a mobster called Durrant to destroy the Hulk (Bruce Banner), a job he fully intended to complete despite being pretty ancient and seemingly frail (he claimed to have been in the business for 63 years)! Utimately, he faied, and the Hulk buried him up to his neck in the ground and left him for the police to find.
