History[]
The Doctor's eighth incarnation was a Byronesque romantic with a love of life and a strong sense of wonder which any amount of trials and tragedies couldn't quite stamp out. He travelled the universe for years with companions such as Izzy Sinclair, Fey Truscott-Sade, Destrii, Grace Holloway, Charley Pollard, Liv Chenka, Josephine Day and Kroton the Cyberman, and (rather confusingly) appears to have had his own timeline rewritten more than once...
Powers and abilities[]
Strength level
Gallifreyan male who gets regular exercise.
Paraphernalia[]

Pocket watch; cybernetic mosquito (for taking blood samples surreptitiously).

Notes[]
The Eighth Doctor's first comics appearance was in the Radio Times Doctor Who strip which began in June 1996, but when he did finally make it into Doctor Who Magazine (with #244, in October 1996) he settled in for a run which lasted for a staggering eight and a half years! The Doctor with the least screen time therefore became the longest serving in the comic strip! This was also the period during which the Doctor Who Magazine strip finally switched from black and white to full colour.
Trivia[]
The Eighth Doctor was the last to appear in issues of Doctor Who Magazine bearing the Marvel UK logo after the magazine's purchase by Panini.
