Synopsis for "Spiral Staircase / Sins of the Father"[]

Dorothy uses her new powers to rip open the roof of her apartment and fly away. The Doctor goes after her with Gabby and Cindy, telling Vivian to stay in the apartment in case she returns. Dorothy builds a new hospital from scratch (which is gonna be super-cool if the 'equipment' she used the alien part of her to build is actually future tech. Just a shame it's not run by the NHS.) The Doctor & co., plus Cleo, Erik and Hanif (who have been tracking Dorothy's energy signature) converge at the hospital. Dorothy grabs Gabby and flies away. She adds twenty floors to an old building and gives New York some extra bridges to Jersey. Everybody converges again at the Empire State building. There is an alien spaceship in the sky. It scoops up everyone bar Dorothy and Gabby, because Erik and Hanif were attracting its attention with another piece of alien tech.

The spaceship is from Phaester Osiris, which is where the ancient Egyptian gods — who were really aliens — came from. It is run by a janitor robot called the Seeker, who wants Dorothy. Down in the city, Dorothy makes herself detectable by the spaceship. She and Gabby are scooped up. The spaceship dumps the Doctor and Cindy back in the city and flies away to the Shining Horizon, an Osiran mothership. There, the Seeker explains to the new creature which I will continue to call Dorothy that she used to be the hand of Sutekh, and he used her power to do all sorts of nasty things. The Doctor and Cindy arrive in the TARDIS and find the others in suspended animation. They are greeted by Anubis, son of Sutekh.

All the other Osirans have ascended to a higher plane of existence. Anubis wants to do this too, as he misses his wives and children, but the gateway is unstable. If he tries to travel through it, it will destroy the rest of the universe. Erik is miffed that he and his cult have been worshipping a god who isn't interested in them at all. He tries to hurt Anubis, and in response the Seeker kills Hanif. The Doctor persuades Anubis not to go through the gateway until it is repaired. The surviving members of the Doctor's party return to New York (apart from Dorothy, who stays with Anubis). The Doctor and Gabby fly off in the TARDIS. Cindy decides not to come with them and then changes her mind, but too late. The last page shows Dorothy unconscious and Anubis wondering whether or not there might be "a purity in darkness." Dun dun DUNNNNN!!!

Synopsis for "Weapons of Past Destruction"[]

Rose shoots the Doctor. A Lect grabs Jack but an Unon makes it let go. The Unon zaps Jack into the interdimensional void. On board the Lect command ship, Rose explains to the Doctor that the gun she shot him with was in fact a tracker that made it possibly for the Lect to beam him up. They wanted it to look as if they'd captured the Doctor. Evja, Grand High Seer of the Unon, tells Jack that she can see his future and it cannot be allowed. The Doctor learns that the Lect are from Excroth, a planet destroyed by the Unon. After its destruction they renamed themselves after Lect, the ancient Excrothian god of war and revenge. The Unon's Perpetual City is in fact an entropy engine that can destroy planets in minutes. The Doctor and the Lect destroy the engine with the help of Jack and Evja, who turn up in the nick of time. Evja had a change of heart after Jack asked her to look at what the future would be like without the Doctor, with only the Unon in charge. The Doctor takes the Unon to an uninhabited planet where they can make a fresh start, minus the whole 'let's be the new rulers of time and space' thing.
