Synopsis for "Doom at Darkmoor!"[]

Captain Britain sneaks into Darkmoor Castle via the crypt, despite the best attempts of some re-animated skeletons. The Black Baron asks Satan for permission to make Courtney his vampire bride. Captain Britain fights the Black Baron, who turns into a snake and then a werewolf. The hero grabs a silver goblet off the mantelpiece, twists it into a dagger and plunges it into the beast's heart. He then sets fire to the parchment on which the Black Baron signed his pact with Satan. This causes Darkmoor Castle to burn to the ground. Captain Britain and Courtney watch from a nearby hillside as the face of the Devil appears in the flames.

Notes[]

Published by Marvel UK in August 1977.

Trivia[]

What happened to Hugo, the old retainer of Darkmoor Castle, is not shown. Presumably he perished in the fire.

  • Stegron also appears in this issue. (Right of cover)
