Stewart Perkins, a.k.a. W. R. Logan was a 2000 AD superfan whose fanzine, The Class of '79, helped to launch the careers of several 2000 AD creators including Boo Cook, Henry Flint, John Hicklenton, PJ Holden and Jake Lynch. (Dredd was one of the Academy of Law's class of 2079 AD, which also contained Rico Dredd and three other corrupt Judges.) It was in the pages of The Class of '79 that Harry Heston (pictured), created by Stewart, made his debut. Years later Harry Heston transferred to the Judge Dredd Megazine. John Wagner also created a character based on Stewart, Judge Logan.
