Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is an American character created for Marvel Comics by Stan Lee in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. He was introduced to British audiences in the Odhams Power Comics reprint line in the late 1960s, and came to prominence in Marvel UK's weekly title Mighty World of Marvel in 1972 before quickly gaining his own title, Spider-Man Comics Weekly in February 1973, which ran under various names for 666 issues until May 1985. He has also appeared in numerous other British titles in both US reprints and UK originated stories. He also occasionally appeared in random issues of the various reprint titles from Alan Class Publishing.
