Shok! was a one-off story by Steve MacManus (writing as Ian Rogan) and Kevin O'Neill which first saw print in the Judge Dredd Annual 1981, and was later reprinted in 2000 AD prog 612 (and still later in colourised form in issue #35 of the US format Judge Dredd series published by Quality Comics). It was later adapted without permission by the creator of the 1990 movie Hardware, though a subsequent court case ensured that MacManus and O'Neill eventually received a screen credit on the film.
