Shadow was a serial by writer John Wagner and artist Mike Western which ran in Eagle #176-200 in 1985 (25 issues in total). The story, about a New York police dog traumatised by the death of his handler, was later reprinted in issues #473-483, and the maudlin mutt also appeared in the 1987 Eagle Annual.
