Sergeant Tom Osgood was an Army engineer attached to U.N.I.T. in the 1970s (or the 1980s, depending on whom you ask) under the command of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. He frequently proved totally out of his depth as the Brigadier's "technical chappie," but nonetheless always did his best to serve. His daughter Petronella now operates in much the same capacity for the Brigadier's daughter Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

Osgood first appeared in the TV Doctor Who story The Daemons in 1971 (played by Alec Linstead), and was never seen again on screen. More than forty years later, Titan Comics gave him a second chance to shine!
