SCOUSE MOUSE issue 5

Scouse Mouse was a short-lived humour title published by IPC in 1988 for around six months. The Scouse Mouse character was the brainchild of George Nicholas, who created him independently in 1983 and had published him elsewhere before taking him to IPC (notably, Scouse Mouse was the central character in the comic Ace)

. The IPC version was worked up by Nicholas with the assistance of Nigel Parkinson (his first scripting credit), Nick Reynolds and Julie Evans. Following the cancellation of Scouse Mouse, the character was transferred to the pages of Whizzer and Chips for a further few months; Whizzer and Chips actually added Scouse Mouse to its masthead for six issues only.
