Gil Hazzard, codename Scorpio, was a former British Intelligence agent who had resigned due to disillusionment with the job and become a stunt man instead. The rules of the game being what they are, however, he was compelled to come out of retirement when his ex-partner, Valentine, apparently cracked up and took his own family hostage. Scorpio later went on at least one more mission.
