Samantha Slade, a character from the 2000 AD strip Robo-Hunter, is the estranged granddaughter of former robo-hunter Sam C Slade. Despite growing up with little contact with her grandfather, since 'inheriting' his two former robot assistants Hoagy and Stogie she has found herself carrying on the family business as a hunter of rogue robots.

Two episodes into what turned out to be Samantha Slade's final story, Ian Gibson decided that he didn't want to work for 2000 AD any more. This meant that Anthony Williams was hired at the last minute to draw the remaining episodes.
