Salamander is a fictional character who appeared in The Enemy of the World on Doctor WWho.
History[]
Ramon Salamander was a Mexican-born politician and supposed philanthropist who launched an elaborate scheme to achieve world domination, but was thwarted by the time traveller known as The Doctor (to whom he bore an astonishing physical resemblance, at the time). Salamander was apparently lost in the space-time vortex after unsuccessfully attempting to steal the TARDIS, but later turned up alive and impersonated the Doctor in order to gain access to the time ship's secrets. Thwarted and jailed by U.N.I.T, he escaped again.
