History[]
The man named Trampas was a half Indian (that is to say, Native American) bounty hunter operating in the American West near the border with Mexico in the 1870s. He had an unfortunate tendency to lose his horses, and consequently spent a lot of time wandering around the desert carrying his saddle on his back (hence the name of the strip).
