Rover
The Rover was originally a story paper featuring mostly illustrated text stories and a very few comic strips. It was published by D.C. Thomson from 4th March 1922. It absorbed sister title Adventure in 1961 (when it was relaunched as Rover and Adventure), and later The Wizard in 1963, before finally being cancelled in 1973 and merged into the relaunched Wizard (which was itself by now a fully fledged comic rather than a story paper). Series featured included The Tough of the Track, Morgyn the Mighty and I Flew With Braddock.
