Dick Grayson[]
History[]

Dick Grayson as Nightwing
Dick Grayson was the son of circus trapeze artists John and Mary Grayson, and trained from early childhood as an acrobat. Orphaned when the Flying Graysons were murdered on the orders of gangster Boss Zucco, Dick was taken in by millionaire Bruce Wayne, AKA Batman, and began living a double life as Bruce's ward and Batman's junior partner, Robin. Years later, he outgrew the Robin identity and became Nightwing, leader of the Titans, while the Robin mantle was passed on to a succession of others including Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne.

Tim Drake[]
History[]
Tim Drake was a brilliant young man who worked out Batman's secret identity, and those of the first two Robin's, simply by deductive reasoning. He became concerned that Batman was losing control after Jason Todd's death, and tried to persuade Dick Grayson to resume the Robin identity in order to help him; instead, Grayson suggested that Tim do the job himself. He proved to have a natural aptitude for it, becoming arguably the most capable of the Robins.
