Rick Fortune

Rick Fortune was a private investigator working in New York in the 1930s. Unlike his contemporaries, Fortune had psionic powers, and was also the owner of the Dice of Destiny, a pair of carved stone dice created by the Master Masons of ancient Atlantis. The dice had a variety of curious powers, including allowing Fortune to summon a malevolent three-headed lizard demon named Astragal to aid him, as well as distorting time and space, creating illusions, allowing Fortune to walk unseen through shadows, giving him premonitions and the ability to 'influence' people, and granting him greatly increased strength and agility. The dice had other powers which Fortune never seemed to manage to master, sometimes summoning things he didn't want...
