Created by writer Malcolm Shaw and artist Jesús Redondo (with Johnny Johnstone stepping in on the art for parts 12 and 13), Return to Armageddon was an, at times, quite horrifying strip which ran in 2000 AD progs 185 to 218 from September 1980 to June 1981 (34 episodes in total). It details the consequences of ill-fated spaceship captain Atlanta Watts' discovery of what seems to be the corpse of the Devil, and of the creature's subsequent resurrection and conflict with its human 'brother', Amtrak, and the girl Eve.
