History[]
Proteus Vex was once a soldier for the Imperium Ascendant, one side in a galactic war. Since the war ended (the Imperium won) he's been acting as a secret agent, cleaning up the mess left over. However, when he discovered that the Imperium's victory came at the cost of an innocent world, Vex decided he had no choice but to reveal the truth to the galaxy as a whole.

Vex is bonded with a "flesh pilot", a miniature humanoid capable of taking over and piloting other beings, at the same time gaining access to their memories. The individual who at first glance appears to be Proteus Vex is actually just half of him.
