Phantom Patrol was a strip which originally ran in Swift, although segments of it have since been reprinted in several titles including 2000 AD and Starlord annuals. It concerned a British infantry patrol from 1941 led by Sergeant Joe Timm and including several others such as Corporal Jock McLuckie and Private Paddy O'Connell, who accidentally stumble upon a time machine in a crashed UFO in Crete and find themselves hurled back through time into a series of bizarre adventures. Along the way, they gain allies in the robot dog Fergus and future cop Cornelius Kerrigan. The strip was drawn by Gerry Embleton and written by Willie Patterson.
