History[]
Peri Brown was an American botany student who travelled with the Time Lord known as The Doctor for some years after being picked up by his mate Turlough in Lanzarote. She spent most of her time being pursued by a variety of nefarious aliens who wanted to either torture her or mate with her, before apparently having her mind erased and then being shot dead, which might actually have been something of a relief. Unfortunately for Peri, it later turned out that she had survived and ended up married to a barbarian warlord who looked like Brian Blessed, instead. The poor girl just never got a break.
According to one account, a much older Peri was later visited by the Doctor and Frobisher.

Played on TV by Nicola Bryant, Peri was one of the Doctor's longer serving companions in the pages of Doctor Who Magazine, and also appeared in Doctor Who: The Age of Chaos and several editions of the Doctor Who Annual.
