Young Paddy McGinty was out walking in the hills of Boggymorra (sorry, no clue) when he encountered a stranded alien shapeshifter from the planet Ven. Unfazed by this, Paddy offered the alien sanctuary, but since its true appearance would in all probability have attracted unwelcome attention, the creature was forced to take on the shape of the first Earth creature it had seen; a goat. From then on, the alien and Paddy were pretty much inseparable.
Years later, the alien was apparently captured by the villainous Von Hoffman, who used its blood to keep himself alive and strong long after he should have died of old age. Paddy's precise fate is unknown, but at one point the alien claims he was murdered.
