History[]
Petronella Osgood was just a scientist working for the Unified Intelligence Taskforce under Kate Lethbridge-Stewart until she found herself duplicated by one of the Zygons. With the attempted Zygon invasion thwarted and a peace treaty in place, Osgood and her Zygon 'sister' were given charge of the so-called Osgood Box, supposedly a weapon, by The Doctor, in order to ensure that the treaty was upheld. One of the Osgoods was subsequently killed by The Master (in the guise of 'Missy') but the surviving sister refused to reveal whether the one killed had been the human or the Zygon Osgood, saying that it didn't matter. With an attempted coup by a militant faction of Zygons stopped in its tracks by the Doctor, the Zygon named Bonnie took the form of Osgood in order to replace the dead sister in upholding the peace. This has left nobody sure whether either of the two currently existing Osgoods is human or not.
