History[]
Nardole, a character from Doctor Who, is a humanoid alien who acted as a kind of aide to the Doctor in his twelfth incarnation. This was seemingly because he owed the Time Lord for effectively giving him back his body (or a close approximation thereof) after Nardole was decapitated and forcibly merged with a giant robot during their first meeting. (Nardole had been working for River Song, the Doctor's wife, at the time.)
Nardole is a mysterious character with a shady past, and little is known of him beyond these few facts. What snippets of information he chooses to disclose (often during some sort of life-threatening alien encounter that means he is never given time to elaborate on them) have made it evident that he has had a long and interesting life, during which he has learned some surprisingly useful skills. He professes to disdain all "smelly humans," but has become friends with the Doctor's companion Bill Potts.
