The Mother Biog is a character from the 2000 AD strip Dan Dare. Originally from the planet Zircon, she was the mother and leader of the psychic and insect-like Biogs, and supreme commander of their servants the Shepherds. (The latter were originally harmless inhabitants of Zircon's moon before the Mother Biog 'converted' them into a slave race.) She fed on organic alien life and gave energy to the other Biogs. When commencing the invasion of the solar system, the Mother Biog attempted to eat Dan Dare and his ally Monday. Refusing to go down without a fight however, Dare sliced through the Mother Biog's head with a Living Axe, ending her reign.
