Morholt was the brother of Elfric and leader of a group of El Riders. He killed Mongan Axehead, foster brother of Sláine MacRoth, by decapitating him with a pair of gigantic shears. Sláine killed Morholt with a crossbow, but Morholt vanished only to be reanimated later. Sláine eventually stole Morholt's magical helmet, leaving Morholt vulnerable to the gaze of a basilisk, which turned him to stone.
