History[]

Moondog was one of the race of Elves somehow native to both Earth and Otherworld, who aided the Black Knight, Brian Braddock, Merlyn and Vortigen against the forces of Necromon and his servant Mordred. His first task on this quest was to slay the fearsome Iron Ogre after it had smashed both the Black Knight's sword and Vortigen's rowan staff. Moondog kept his nerve and calmly shot the Iron Ogre in the armpit, causing it to topple into the group's camp fire and be consumed by the flames.

Shortly afterwards, Moondog's village (by a lake in the forest) was attacked by goblins. Moondog saw his uncle Sundog die right in front of him, shot in the chest by a goblin arrow. He immediately took charge, telling the elves what they should do to maximise their chance of success in the ensuing battle. Then he was abducted by goblins who wanted to eat him, questioned by the dark sorcerer Cormac and freed by Vortigen.

Moondog eventually made it to Camelot. When Merlyn's resolve was weakened by seeing visions of his enemies, meaning that Camelot was on the verge of toppling into an abyss of nothingness, Moondog saved the day. Remembering that the last time he saw one of the people in the vision, Cormac, he'd only had one hand, he proved that Cormac and the other villains were mere phantoms by shooting them with an arrow which went straight through them.

Sadly, Moondog perished during the final battle for Camelot, dying in Vortigen's arms after being struck by an arrow. He was a courageous person who thought nothing of fighting opponents two or ten times his size.
