History[]
Terry was born hideously deformed and his parents, showing a startling lack of empathy, responded to this development by denying his existence and locking him in an upstairs room all his life. Following their deaths, his sister and her rather unwilling husband took over caring for Terry, but when sister Joan died her hubby began abusing Terry, who killed him the first chance he got. Things kind of went downhill from there. Terry was discovered by his nephew Kenny, who tried to help him, but was fighting a bit of a losing battle since Terry had a habit of strangling people who annoyed him. Eventually, after a series of misadventures, he settled in Australia and found peace living with an aged bushman.

Monster began life in Scream! before transferring to the New Eagle. The first episode only was written by Alan Moore, who apparently originally intended the titular monster to be Kenny's mother rather than his uncle. The rest is written by John Wagner under the pseudonym Rick Clark.
Trivia[]
Curiously, although Terry is the uncle of Kenny Corman, whose father is (obviously) also named Corman, Terry himself is the brother of Kenny's mother, meaning that Corman must be both her maiden name and her married name. Slightly worrying, that...
