  • Hi Tony, do you know the issues reprinted in the Portman Distribution comics?

  • Has anything more happened in any new Roue Trooper movies or videos?

No new announcements recently, though I believe there's still supposed to be a movie in the works somewhere down the line.

  • I remember reading about an English comic strip called the Silver Sabre or Sword, about a girl who inherits a silvee sabre that is a family relic and that leads her on a series of wild adventures.  I don't remember the exact name of the strip, but if it was The Silver Sabre, then the company who owned this character were committing plagiarism because there was a Canadian male character by that name, who fought a villain called the Hunchback of Pine Lake.

The only strip called The Silver Sword that I know of was a World War II adventure that ran in the British girls comic Suzy in 1986. There was a female character called Silver Sabre who appeared in a series called Legion X II around 1989, but that was (I think) an American title.

  • Hi my dad was Brian Babani who had brown and Watson and also grandreams ltd. He has passed away and I was just wondering if you had any pictures or articles that mentioned him that I could read. Thank you for your time. Katie

    • Hi Katie, I'll have to have a look through some of my old stuff. Might take a while as I'm currently locked down away from my office. I am still occasionally in touch with some people who used to work for Marvel UK when Grandreams were in the same building, have you tried any of them? I know Tim Quinn is on Facebook.

    • Thank you so much for getting back to me! Time is no issue I would just love to see anything you are able to fine once this lock down eases. I just messaged Tim and also yourself on Facebook. Thank you again

It's a pleasure to hear from you. I have pleasant childhood memories of the annuals your dad's firm published (in fact, I still have most of the books).

  • For the badge category '2020', do you mind if I change 'World Cup' to 'Infected!' due to the Covid-19 mess of 2020? (It'd be 500, 1000, 1500+ edits badge)

      Do it.

  • Similar to the 'Nice Moustaches' category, can we add a category to do with beards? I feel it's a little anti-beard discriminatory not to.

  • I've changed some of the Marvel database's comic template, and an example is here. Do you like it?

  • Sorry to send you another message, but I just created Template:Vc for volume pages. An example is on Essential X-Men Vol 5 (#18 - #23)

I can see how that's useful (sorry, took me a while to see what I was looking for; I can be quite dense). I'll try it out later today if I have time to get on here! It's turning out to be a busy week...
