Mcintyre, who habitually adopted a new name every year, was a computer who ruled City 4 on Circes, the planet of the Jox. Driven mad by power, he had deliberately started a war which wiped out virtually the entire population of the planet, leaving him to rule over what remained with the aid of his robots. He tricked Strontium Dogs Johnny Alpha and Wulf Sternhammer into wiping out the handful of remaining Jox to prevent them from overthrowing him, but this angered Johnny, who destroyed Mcintyre's robots, then confiscated the only remaining one, his servant Crynge. Mcintryre was left to rule a dead world forever, pleading that he didn't want to be alone.
