Lt. Blueberry by Mœbius

Jean Henri Gaston Giraud (8th May 1938 to 10th March 2012) was a French (now there's a surprise) artist, writer and cartoonist who became famous worldwide (at least within the field of comics) under the nom de plume Mœbius (though he also used the name Gir for his long-running Western series Blueberry). Working mainly in Europe (though he did create a two-issue Silver Surfer story for America's Marvel Comics, written by Stan Lee) he is generally regarded as having been one of the finest and most influential artists in the industry. Many of his works, including The Incal and The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius, have been translated into English, notably in the pages of Heavy Metal magazine. He also created storyboards and concept designs for films including Alien, Willow, Tron, The Abyss and The Fifth Element.
