Louis Mayer was a member of the Harlem Heroes Aeroball team until he was critically injured in a horrific hover-bus crash. Louis was saved but was reduced to being just a brain in a jar, though he insisted the Heroes carry on without him. Later, when the team reformed as the Harlem Hellcats to play the new sport, Inferno, Louis was given an android body and rejoined them. He later died in action.
