1 Leah is the name of Jacob's least favourite wife in the Old Testament (to be fair, he only had two to choose from). It comes from a Hebrew word meaning 'cow', which was probably a compliment back then. (Cows have big dark eyes and are a vital source of food. Zeus' paramour Io was turned into one, and the Egyptian goddess Hathor is associated with the image of a cow.)
