History[]
Kid Chameleon was an English boy reared by reptiles in the Kalahari desert (yes, really! You want to make something of it?) after his parents were murdered. He spoke in the same rather stilted form of English so beloved of characters like Tarzan, and was able to camouflage himself by changing colour. He used his great gifts to wander the world sticking his nose into other people's business. In the end, after finding his parents' killer (a wanted fugitive who had killed them after they recognized him when he chartered their plane), Kid got bored and went back to the desert.
Powers and abilities[]
Powers
His skin is coated with a protective skin of lizard saliva which protects him from the desert sun. The lizards liked him, so the lizards licked him.
Abilities
Communicating with and commanding reptiles.
Paraphernalia[]
Equipment
Skin tight lizard suit with camouflage capabilities, which KId apparently wove himself out of lizard scales.
Notes[]
Kid Chameleon returned in the 2000AD Action Special but only because its publishers didn't realise they didn't own the rights to him.
