History[]
Judge Logan was Judge Joseph Dredd's administrative assistant, and was generally regarded as a "safe pair of hands", though dogged by bad luck; he has lost a number of body parts in the course of his career, including an arm (he actually lost it twice; attempts to regrow it the second time repeatedly failed, since the arm had been contaminated by the decaying touch of Judge Mortis). He was also at one point paralysed after being shot in the spine. He was deeply traumatised by his experience with the Dark Judges and spent some time hospitalised; Judge Anderson eventually cured him and released him from the clutches of the Sisters of Death, who were trying to use him to cross dimensions.
Logan was the Judge who uncovered evidence of Chief Judge Sinfield's corruption and had him removed from office. He was subsequently appointed sector chief for sector six of Mega-City One, where he served for some time and became highly respected.
Logan was eventually chosen by Dredd and outgoing Chief Judge Hershey to become the city's new Chief Judge. Unfortunately, he almost immediately created controversy by appointing the robot Judge Harvey to the newly reorganised Council of Five, an act which led a group of rogue Judges to attempt a coup! The situation was only resolved when Harvey blew himdelf up for the sake of the city, but Logan still refused to admit that his decision might have been wrong.
